Keep Moving Forward

Soak in the joy of doing business, again. It just feels good to smell the roses. Many businesses are better off today than they were a year ago. For the moment it just feels wonderful.
As Walt Disney taught us, “Keep moving forward”. It is easier when there is momentum and you can feel the wind in your sails, pushing you.
Necessity was the mother of invention last year and the energy invested resulted in a transformational year for Indie Retail.
We learned that our customers are loyal.
We learned we could adapt and adopt new technologies.
We learned new acronyms.
We learned that we could sell more with less.
We learned new merchandise strategies.
We learned how to negotiate with creditors.
We learned that uncertainty was a fear that would not rule us.
We learned to win in scary times.
What we learned is a strong propellant into the future. Most likely, we will never again go through what we just lived, but if we do we will be more prepared. So let's keep moving forward creating, building, and having fun. Retail has more opportunities and more newness than I have felt or seen in the last 40 years.
New entrants into the Indie Retail Community are rewriting playbooks. We are educating ourselves and embracing new ideas and changing. This is a wonderful thing.
We have committed ourselves at Management One to keep moving forward by producing ongoing and continuous education and learnings to share with our community. We’re also moving forward by striving to collaborate effectively through our relationships with our Retail Experts, our clients, and the vast network of partners with whom we share core values and interests.
M1 keeps moving forward by creating a new generation of technology, to be launched through releases in ongoing phases starting this July. Our new platform will empower our community with knowledge through access to data to make decisions on demand at a level never seen before. Most of all we learned that our world does not stop moving forward. Maybe we discovered there is a little “Disney” in all of us.
